TRIP TO PERSHORE TO SEE RUSHFORTHS--OCT. 2-5,2009

Tewkesbury Abbey where we found John Humphreys and Elizabeth Collet's burial place right inside the abbey. There were so many Collet family buried there. We were so excited and got copies of all the info found on the grave stones. These people are on our pedigree sheets as our ancestors, but we have no record or work done on the Collet family. We hope to be able to connect them to our family and do the work for themOld market town of Ledbury where we found a town crier who was quite authentic and even had papers to prove it! We saw the actual Baptist Church where Wilford Woodruff preached his sermon.
Hill farm is the old Ben Bow farm where all the United Brethren were converted and baptized in the Ben Bow Pond. It was and is called the Hill Farm, where early English church history began.

The actual Ben Bow Pond that the Church now owns and maintains. It was a peaceful place and very nice to visit there.Keith and Lynda Rushforth who invited us to stay with them and took us all around touring these places. They are great and good people who are helping us so much on our family history.
