Net and Linsey by a cute polkadot elephant in a 400 year old market in London. There were so many cool little speciality shops and market stalls and lots of people. There were random people trying to perform and get an audience around them who would give money for their shows. Hard way to make a living!
Dad, Linsey and I by Trafalgar Square under the tall monument to Lord Nelson, who defeated the French navy and made England superior in that land. In the background is the amazing National Gallery of Art. You could spend days in there seeing all the works of art thru the ages. We spent a few hours but barely scratched the surface of all the art there. This is such a busy central area of London with millions of cars taxis and people everywhere. Net and Linsey at a beautiful archway of Wisteria blossoms in front of one of the many gardens at the Hampton Court where we visited. This palace was dominated by the presence of King Henry the 8th and showed how they lived. there were so many beautiful huge, castle wall sized tapestries. Most had scenes from Bible stories and battles fought to maintain their kingdoms.
We drove to Eastbourne and spent some time at the sea shore. We drove up on the white cliffs to a place called Beachy Head where there is a very steep and treacherous drop off about 400 feet, above the sea on the English Channel. At the bottom ou can see a little red and white Lighthouse. The banks are made of chalk rock or limestone and crumble off very easily. You don't dare stand on the edge but lay down to look over.
